Tokkuri or table decanter for sake in a tapering, conical form
with a slightly everted lip. Of Kirigome Ware porcelain glazed in clouding
eggplant and turquoise. From the Kirigome kiln in Miyazaki Town, Miyagi
Prefecture. Edo period, early 19th century. For other examples of Kirigome

A very rare and particularly beautiful example of this type of Tohoku ceramic
